MARKETING GURU SPEARHEADS HARD-HITTING CAMPAIGN IN NATIONAL FIGHT AGAINST CORONAVIRUS
Fleets of Refuse Vehicles to Carry Life Saving Message Down Britain’s Streets
Marketing guru Lawrence Craig has joined the fight against COVID-19 by spearheading a hard-hitting ‘visual’ campaign which will be seen by every home across the country.
The CEO of the UK’s leading vehicle graphics specialist Roadvert has teamed up with Public Health England in its fight against coronavirus by reinforcing the crucial call for members of the public to stay indoors in a unique way.
As the UK lockdown enters its fourth week with hospital deaths passing the 13,000 mark, Lawrence has reproduced Her Majesty’s Government compelling artwork for local authorities to use on their fleets of refuse collection lorries. Its message is clear ‘Stay Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives’.
It is a ground-breaking initiative and one which has been embraced by Councils across the country. Central Bedfordshire Council was one of the first to sign up with 42 banners being fitted with the artwork this week. More councils are following suit, with Lawrence estimating that within the first week at least 200 vehicles will carry the life-saving message across the UK.
“These are unprecedented times and we don’t know what to expect in the days, weeks or months ahead,” added Lawrence. “But what we do know is that members of the public must stay at home to protect the NHS and save lives.
“We know that Government and the Health Service are doing everything they can to get that message across, but everyone needs to do their part to help combat this outbreak and stem the spread of this deadly virus.
“Every council operates refuse collection lorries, they are still in operation and on every street, every road, every avenue and every crescent across the country – so what better way to get the message out to keep families and neighbourhoods safe during these uncertain times? It is the perfect platform to reach our local communities and drive the message home.”
Lawrence approached Public Health England with his concept and following good discussions, then contacted Local Authorities to get them to help spread the word.
