We specialise in innovative vehicle advertising solutions and have a unique graphic system called Spedian™, Spedian™ enables fast-changing, frameless, reusable, and recyclable graphics for a wide range of vehicles, from refuse collection vehicle (RCVS), vans, trailers and buses. The company has partnered with nearly 200 local authorities in the UK, and expanded into the USA where we deal with major brands. One of our key offerings is the "Ads On The Move" program. At no cost to Councils, we generate revenue by selling advertising space on refuse and recycling vehicles and share it with the Council. These giant mobile billboards travel down every street within their designated Council.
Role Overview
As an Area Sales Manager (Municipal) at Roadvert, you will be responsible for driving sales in your designated area, building relationships with new and existing Councils, and promoting our services. You will be key in generating new business, managing customer accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Development: Identify and target new business opportunities within your area, including alternative departments within each Council.
Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing councils, understanding their requirements and providing tailored solutions.
Sales Presentations: Conduct sales presentations and demonstrations of Roadvert’s services, highlighting the benefits and effectiveness of our products to Councils.
Account Management: Manage a portfolio of existing Council accounts, ensuring their continued satisfaction and driving repeat business.
Sales Targets: Meet and exceed monthly sales targets, ensuring that growth objectives are consistently achieved.
Market Research: Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify sales opportunities and ensure Roadvert stay ahead in the industry.
Reporting: Provide regular sales reports, outlining performance, achievements, and new target areas.
Networking: Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand Roadvert’s presence and generate leads.
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in sales, preferably in the municipal sector. (But not essential)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage and influence clients at all levels.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a sales area effectively.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven by results.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A strong understanding of the local authority landscape in your area.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Full UK driving license is essential.
