Some residents living in flats in Elmbridge can now recycle their electricals due to the launch of an initiative by Joint Waste Solutions (JWS). If the trial is successful, and proves cost effective, the project may expand to other flats across Elmbridge, Mole Valley, Surrey Heath and Woking.
This is a ten-month trial where bright pink recycling bins for small electricals will be located in blocks of flats. Every four weeks, as part of a planned rotation programme, the pink recycling bins will move to the next location, giving more residents the chance to easily recycle their small electricals.
This trial is one of over 40 UK projects funded by Material Focus, the not for profit leading the Recycle Your Electricals campaign, who have provided Joint Waste Solutions £63,000 to fund a variety of small electrical focused projects. The initiative is part of a wider number of other projects around the country, making it easier for 10 million UK residents to recycle their electricals.
Joint Waste Solutions confirmed they had a very positive overall experience with Roadvert. “During the pre-installation process Roadvert were quick to respond to any questions or queries and worked proactively to solve any problems. Banner design was straight-forward to submit for our graphic designer and Roadvert were able to accommodate a range of banners sizes and design requirements”.
“For the installation, Roadvert were flexible to installing around our vehicle depot operations, meaning we experienced no interruption to our day-to-day business. Roadvert also adapted to poor weather conditions hampering the original installation plans – with no extra cost or operational impact to us. The banner installation itself went smoothly and was completed in a professional manner. The results are of a high quality and look great!”
